Portrait Maak Roberts

Maak Roberts

Certified Data Protection Officer (TÜV), Certified Data Protection Auditor (TÜV)

Maak Roberts identified as an advertising photographer before reinventing himself as a data protection consultant. Since 2018, he has been working as a Data Protection Officer for medium to large companies. His near-fanatical attention to detail might feel unmistakably German at first, but paired with just the right touch of British charm and years of creative expertise, he’s proven to be an excellent fit for the world of data protection. It certainly helps that he can do all this effortlessly in English.

How We Work

We’re around when you need us – and we’ll always get back to you quickly.

Expect proficient advice and solutions tailored to your needs. We’re more than happy to leave off-the-shelf compliance packages, meaningless templates, and box-ticking exercises to the competition – they’re simply not our thing.

Our focus is on finding the right solution for your company and your projects. We firmly believe that looking at your ideas through the lens of data protection can uncover opportunities often overlooked – and we’re pretty good at asking the kind of questions that add real value.

Keep Calm and Carry On

We believe in building reliable, long-term partnerships and aim to support you for the foreseeable future. Like it or not, data protection and the GDPR are here to stay, and navigating data protection issues has become part of everyday business life.

That’s why it’s essential to keep processes flexible, adapt to legislative changes and consider the latest court rulings – all while factoring in legal and reputational risks to be ready when it matters most.

Ultimately, our goal is to give you and your staff the confidence that personal data in your company is processed securely and fully compliant with GDPR.

Gender & Diversity

About those drawings: Our illustrations deliberately avoid features that are often perceived as gendered – such as certain hairstyles, clothes or accessories. These associations are shaped by cultural norms, which we intentionally choose not to reinforce.

This doesn’t mean we consider stereotypical masculinity as the default – quite the opposite: since gender cues in imagery tend to reflect normative expectations, we opted for a reduced, neutral style.

The same applies to diversity and inclusion: the stick figures are not meant to represent specific groups, but rather to be open to all interpretations.
